Instruction at Lakes Region Dressage

Whether you are a first time rider or seasoned competitor, we can help improve your riding skills.  Instruction is available for adults and children over the age of 6.  All instruction is dressage based to help you become a safe and effective rider.  Once a student has developed the basic skills, they may choose to continue focusing on dressage or begin our eventing/jumping program.  In addition to routine lessons, students will occasionally participate in games on horseback as well as trail riding.  Some lesson horses are available to regular clientel or truck in with your own horses.  We can also travel to your home to teach you within a reasonable distance.  Thanks to Ladd Brook Farm's indoor arena, lessons are available year round, with very few exceptions.  Students are expected to groom and tack up their horses prior to start of lesson times, with the exception of beginner lessons.  All students are required to wear shoes with a quarter inch heel and provide their own ASTM certified helmet.  Breeches and tall boots or half chaps are strongly suggested.  Students participating in the eventing program are required to provide their own protective vest.
